I first discovered Goldsworthy at a museum installation /show he did here in Austin. He is, second to none, the artist who most excites me. I love his interaction with nature, I love his tendency to make temporary art, and I love his aesthetic.

found your website viewing the Online Photographer and reading one of your comments I arrived round here a couple of months ago and have being following your blog quietly. Congratulations for Conscientious Portfolio Competition and keep up the good work because your landscape work really is superb!

The Pond is a brilliant book, of which I’m a proud owner. I hope the reprint maintains the high quality of the original but one area I doubt will be reproduced, though nice if it was is the tipped in ‘original’ silver print on the front cover.
The Pond reference is of course is Thoreau’s Walden pond.
Something to look out for is the contrast motif usualy in the centre of the image, you will recognise it when you see it.
Favorite image is the low level differentiated focus image of a stone, trancendentalist or what.

My local library has a copy which I’ve checked out a few times. I have tried and tried to like it but I just don’t see much in this book. I like a lot of Gossage’s stuff, and I know this book has a strong reputation, so I’ve given it a chance but…I don’t know. Maybe I’m missing something. Curious to hear your take once you’ve seen a copy.

Yes this is what we need. Not everyone can afford an M9. My fear is shutter lag. If this rig cant match the speed of a film RF from time of tripping the shutter to taking image then i think it will be a failure.
