This series of blog posts follows the process of creating an image from the beginning through to the final print. When I’m done, I’m going to give the print to someone who has commented on one of the posts along the way.

Very cool shot. Definitely one of my favorites I’ve seen of your work in a while, though since the photoblog was reformed I haven’t gotten to look at a whole lot. Looking forward to the next installment particularly- Along with scanning, profiling and printing is most certainly a weak point in my workflow.
Thanks, Jason. For the record, this is one of my recent favorites too. (So much so that I’ve already added it to my “Current Work” page) The truth is that I haven’t been taking as many pictures since I dropped the photoblog format. Part of that is intentionally slowing down my process a bit, part of it is just being busy.

I’m looking forward to the printing post as well. I spent a lot of time dealing with printing issues this winter and I’m at a place where I’m very happy with my prints. I’ve been getting compliments from experienced photographers I’m showing them to as well, which I take as a good sign.
