Experiment: another print for sale
An odd-ball experiment: I am selling a 10×10 platinum print, from a limited edition of 7, on eBay. The opening bid is just $10.
Prospect Park, Brooklyn
Prospect Park, Brooklyn, 5x5 Platinotype
I have been looking at a lot of Lee Friedlander’s landscape work lately, especially The Desert Seen and the Frederick Law Olmsted Landscapes. Both are highly recommended. Friedlander’s photographs are so intense, they practically vibrate right off the page. Their complexity can make them hard to understand at first; they can sometimes be so visually sharp that they hurt your eyes.
Westchester County, New York
Westchester County, New York, 5x5 Platinotype
It has been an amazing fall in New York. Although these photos don’t give a sense of the phenomenal colors we’ve been having, certain structural aspects of the woods begin to show themselves as the leaves fall, creating opportunities for new compositions.
Good morning!
Weeds, Westchester, New York, 5x5 Platinotype
A good morning indeed.
I may have had one too many glasses of champagne last night, but it was well worth it. Hooray for Barack Obama!
New Platinotypes
Stoney Run, Baltimore, 5x5 Platinotype
It’s been quiet on the blog, but I’ve been working hard on new photographs, including these four platinotypes. I’ve uploaded a new gallery to the current work section of the website specifically dedicated to this latest batch of prints. This series continues to evolve and get more interesting for me; I am about to head down into the darkroom and develop a roll of film right now.
