There’s a good chance this is on Thompson Street. I’ve got to start writing these things down.

In the old days, I used to carry both film and digital cameras, because I didn’t trust myself to take decent shots with the 35mm. Having a digital backup of everything made me feel better. Not only was this cumbersome, but I think it undermined my attempts to use film, to a certain extent.

More and more I’ve been leaving the house with only a film camera, and I think I’m becoming more sure of myself because of it.

(Although, if I had been using a digital camera this day, I would have known about that pesky vignetting!)

I’ve got a few more from this series, which will be going up over the course of the week. After that, I’m taking a week off to go to Dublin. I’ll be returning with lots of pictures, but there will be no new posts next week.
