This is a demo installation of a WordPress theme I’ve created for artists who need an easy and attractive way to display their work. The goal was to create a solid jumping off point; you can use it as-is or customize it to your liking. See below for examples of this theme in action.

The current version of this template is 1.3.3, released on August 9, 2010. It requires WordPress 3.0 or higher. Be sure to check out the version history for information on changes since the initial release. Online documentation is included to help you with installation, but some basic assumptions are made about your familiarity with WordPress.

Additional information
This theme was built using the Sandbox theme, and retains many of the semantic features of that theme. If you’re interested in WordPress design, I highly recommend learning more about Sandbox, it is a very powerful theme framework. The basic layout and function of the theme was inspired by Indexhibit.

Plugins
No plugins are required for this theme to work. A fresh installation of WordPress and this theme will give you everything you need to get your portfolio online. However, there are a few good plugins I always recommend if you want to add extra functionality to your site:
- All in One SEO Pack: improve search engine results with this plugin, which is easy to install and configure.
- Contact Form: a simple way for people to get in touch with you.
- WP Super Cache: Be prepared for a big burst of traffic with this caching module.
- WP Stats: A simple web stats module for tracking visitors to your site. If you prefer Google Analytics, there are plugins for that, too.
- Faster Image Insert: simplifies image uploads and management.
- My Page Order: makes it easy to re-organize your pages (which is good for your navigation)
- WordPress Database Backup: always backup your website! This plugin helps automate the backup of your database. You should keep an FTP backup of your files as well.
